Britanicul Eddie Redmayne pleacă la Londra cu Premiul Oscar pentru Cel mai bun actor (The Theory of Everything), in timp ce Julianne Moore câştigă Oscarul pentru Cea mai bună actriţa în rol principal (Still Alice).
Paricia Arquette a fost desemnată câştigătoare la categoria Cea mai bună actriţă în rol secundar pentru Boyhood, iar J.K. Simmons a triumfat la categoria Cel mai bun actor în rol secundar (Whiplash).
